About the MASH Bulk-buy

The MASH Bulk-Buy is a community initiative – supported by Mount Alexander Shire Council and Mount Alexander Sustainability Group – to make it easier for households and businesses to go solar and add battery storage at affordable prices. And with attractive government rebates currently available, it’s a great time to go solar!

Going solar or adding battery storage can help you cut your electricity bills and become more self-sufficient.  And with the MASH Bulk-Buy, you can feel good that you are also supporting your local community – as every installation counts towards more money going towards free solar for community groups and schools in the Mount Alexander Shire.

So spread the word, as the more solar that’s installed in the Mount Alexander Shire the better!

Appointed through a competitive tender process, Cola Solar is the MASH Bulk-Buy solar retailer for the Mount Alexander Shire. Council has been a partner of the MASH solar bulk-buy since it started back in 2014 when only 18% of houses in the shire had solar power.  At the start of 2021, more than 34% of homes have solar with 450+ of these installed through MASH. 

Ours is one of the leading shires in Victoria for household solar.  This is great news for residents who save on their bills, for the environment and – with MASH – for our community groups and schools who are benefitting from free solar installed through the MASH community bonus fund.  It’s a win-win for everyone.
