Wilf and Nicola Savage are putting in a 1.5kW MASH solar PV system on their heritage house in Quarry Hill in Bendigo to help cut their greenhouse emissions and electricity bills.
Wilf and Nicola are bushwalkers and love the environment and being in it. They also love their heritage house in Quarry Hill made of double brick with high ceilings which stays cool in summer without air conditioning.
“I love this planet and I want to leave it a better place for my children and grandchildren”, said Wilf. “I’m really pleased to be part of the MASH community bulk solar buy.”
They don’t use a lot of power but want to live as sustainably as possible and they’re keen to explore the option of adding solar battery storage to their MASH solar system further down the line.
